Privacy Policy
SliceLook does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your print files are read on your Mac and never leave it.
Who we are
SliceLook is made by Yaveez, an independent app studio. If you have a question about this policy, write to yaveez.dev@gmail.com.
Data we collect
None. SliceLook has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app does not connect to the internet: neither the app nor its Quick Look extensions have network access in their macOS sandbox, so they cannot send anything anywhere.
Your files
SliceLook reads the 3D print files you open or preview (3MF, G‑code and .bgcode) only to draw the preview and to show details such as print time and filament. This happens entirely on your Mac.
- Files are opened read‑only. SliceLook never changes, uploads or copies them.
- Preview images are created on your Mac. Like it does for other file types, macOS may keep Finder thumbnails in its local cache.
- When you open a file in the SliceLook window, macOS keeps a local permission so the window can reopen that file after a restart. This permission stays on your Mac.
Purchases
SliceLook is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment and does not share your payment details with us. Apple's own privacy policy applies to your App Store account.
Crash reports
If you choose in macOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. We only use them to find and fix problems. You can turn this off at any time in System Settings, under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Third parties
SliceLook contains no third‑party analytics, advertising or tracking code. Its fonts are built into the app and this website loads them from this site only.
Children
SliceLook is suitable for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
